Bootstrap Modal Not Closing On Form Submit - Rails

Solution 1:
I've had a similar problem before, and the way I solved this was by adding a click event to the submit button:
$('#addSubmit').click ->
$('#addListItem').modal('hide');

Try this:
$(modal).on("click", 'input[type="submit"]', (e) ->
modal.modal('hide')
